Ordering from European Amazon stores
By bezprice-redactie · Published on 28 August 2026 · Last reviewed on 28 August 2026
Amazon runs separate stores per country in Europe. Amazon.de, Amazon.nl, Amazon.fr, Amazon.it, Amazon.es and Amazon.se each have their own range, their own sellers and their own prices. That's useful to know, because the same product can have a different item price in another store.
This guide explains how to approach an order from a foreign Amazon store and which points you need to check yourself. bezprice only compares the item price including VAT that we retrieved; the final price, shipping options and terms are shown by Amazon once you get there.

Can you use your existing Amazon account?
In many cases you can sign in to several European Amazon stores with the same Amazon account. Whether that applies to your account, and which details carry over, is up to Amazon. Sign in to the store you want and check whether your account is recognised before you continue.
Assume that settings such as addresses, payment methods and subscriptions can differ per store. Always check the current terms, availability and total price directly with Amazon before you order.
Finding the right product with the ASIN or a product link
Searching by product name often turns up a slightly different version: a different colour, capacity or bundle. So search by the ASIN, the product number Amazon assigns to a specific version. See our explainer on the ASIN for how to find it.
- Open the product in the Amazon store you already know and copy the product link or the ASIN.
- Paste it into the bezprice search bar.
- Check the retrieved item price including VAT and the retrieval time for each store.
- Click through to the store you want and complete the order at Amazon.
Item price versus total price
The item price is the price of the product including VAT, without shipping costs. The total price is what you actually pay at checkout: the item price plus any shipping costs and surcharges.
bezprice sorts by item price. A store that is cheapest on item price can still end up more expensive once shipping is added. The guide to shipping costs explains how to check that.
It also helps to prepare for what happens after ordering: read how returns work at a foreign Amazon store and what applies to VAT and customs within Europe. If you often order with a shipping benefit, check whether Prime also applies in other European stores.
Delivery address, shipping and availability
- Enter your address before drawing any conclusions about price and delivery time: shipping options and costs are only calculated once you do.
- Not every product is shipped to every country. Some items are only available within the country of that store, or only through certain sellers.
- Availability and delivery time can differ per seller, even on the same product page.
We can't say whether a specific product will be shipped to your country. That's shown by Amazon at checkout.
Language and currency
Foreign Amazon stores are in the local language; many pages can be shown in another language, but product text written by sellers often stays in the original language. Amazon.de, .nl, .fr, .it and .es all price in euros, so there's no conversion needed. Only for Sweden does bezprice convert from Swedish krona.
Check the model, plug, keyboard and warranty
The same product name doesn't automatically mean the same version. Check these points on the Amazon product page:
- Model number and variant (colour, memory, size, bundle contents).
- Plug type and included power adapter.
- Keyboard layout for laptops and standalone keyboards (this can differ depending on the store's country).
- Language of menus, manual or software, if that matters to you.
- Which warranty and service terms the seller states.
Warranty terms differ per product, seller and manufacturer. Don't assume the same terms apply; read what's stated on the product page.
Returns and customer service
Your purchase contract is with Amazon or with the seller on Amazon, not with bezprice. Returns, exchanges, complaints and warranty claims are therefore handled entirely by the store where you ordered. Keep your order confirmation and check the return policy that applies to your order.
A quick check right before you order
Most misunderstandings don't happen while comparing, but in the last minute before checkout. So work through these points in order, right on the Amazon page where you're about to order.
- Seller: does it say Amazon sells and ships the item, or a third-party seller? That determines who you contact for questions, returns or warranty.
- Variant: select the colour, size, capacity or bundle you want and check that the page still shows the same item number afterwards.
- Plug and power: does it state which plug type is included, and is an adapter needed?
- Keyboard and language: for laptops, keyboards and devices with software, the layout or menu language may differ from what you're used to.
- Delivery address: enter your address so shipping options, costs and delivery time are actually calculated.
- Total at checkout: compare that amount, not the item price, with the alternative you were considering.
We can't guarantee that a specific product will ship to your address or that a particular variant is available. Always check the current terms, availability and total price directly with Amazon before you order.
The difference between what we show and what you pay
bezprice shows one figure per store: the item price including VAT at the moment we retrieved it, with a timestamp. That figure is useful for spotting where it's worth a closer look, but it isn't a final amount.
- Shipping costs, a chosen delivery option or a surcharge can be added at checkout.
- The offer may have changed between our retrieval and your visit; Amazon's page is what counts.
- If you order several items, how they're split across sellers can affect the total.
Check returns and customer service in advance
It's sensible to read the return policy before you order, not only once something goes wrong. Check the return window stated on the offer, who covers return costs and which address a return goes to. With a third-party seller, these terms can differ from an offer sold by Amazon itself.
- Note or save your order confirmation; you'll need it for a return or complaint.
- Check which language customer service uses and how to get in touch.
- For large or heavy items, check whether separate return instructions apply.
