Prime Big Deal Days 2026: what it is, and why you should still line up the EU stores

On 6 and 7 October 2026 Amazon holds its autumn deal event again. In the Netherlands it is called Prime Deal Dagen; elsewhere you will mostly hear Prime Big Deal Days. Same type of event, different calendar slot than the big Prime Day in June.
Short and businesslike: 48 hours, from 6 October 00:01 CET, Prime members only, while stocks last. No magic guarantee that everything is cheaper. What you do get: many temporary prices, fast stock changes and — interesting if you follow EU stores — sometimes sizeable differences between amazon.nl, .de, .it and the rest.
Below: what it is, how it compares with June, how to prepare, and why a quick ASIN check across six stores during such an event is not excessive caution.

What are Prime Big Deal Days?
Prime Big Deal Days is Amazon's shorter autumn event for Prime members. Think autumn, early gifts, electronics, home — no blanket “everything −30%” sticker, but a wave of labelled deals that can disappear or change by the hour.
For the Dutch store the announcement says:
- Dates: Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 October 2026
- Start: 6 October 00:01 CET
- Duration: roughly 48 hours
- Requirement: an active Prime membership
- Scope: deals on amazon.nl (other countries often share the dates, but assortment and prices differ)
Without Prime you usually do not see the exclusive deal prices — or you are pushed towards a trial or upgrade. Whether that pays off is your own sum: one impulse deal does not cover a yearly membership.
How it differs from the “regular” Prime Day in June
People lump it all together. Worth keeping apart:

The practical difference for you: in October you have less time to hesitate. A wishlist, alerts and knowing which product you want help more than during a four-day event.
And no: “it was already on sale in June” says little about October. Amazon prices move all year. A deal badge is a label, not proof that this is your personal low point.
Shopping smart without letting the clock win
Build your wishlist before 6 October
Put on it what you are genuinely considering — not fifty “maybe someday” items.
Note the ASIN for each product (the B0… number in the URL). Not sure what that is: see our guide What is an ASIN?.
Think in terms of “is this the same purchase?”
During events lookalikes, multipacks and “3-pack” variants appear. A lower price on a different ASIN is not a deal on your product. Always check model, colour and bundle contents.
Stock pressure is a feature, not a bug
“Only 4 left” can be true — or pressure. Decide your maximum price in advance. If you miss the deal, that is fine; tomorrow brings something else.
Check the seller and the shipping
“Sold by Amazon” versus a marketplace seller: differences in delivery time, returns and sometimes how the warranty feels.

Prime matters — but not identically everywhere
Ordering across the border does not mean your home Prime works exactly as it does in your own store. Sign in to that store and see what the basket says about shipping.

Why EU stores drift apart during deal days
Even in quiet weeks .nl, .de, .it, .fr, .es and .se do not price in sync — local VAT, stock, who holds the buy box. During an event that can grow: one store puts product X on offer, another does not yet, or only a different seller does.
Concrete behaviour we see often (no promise for October, but a pattern):
- Same ASIN, different store price — sometimes tens of euros, sometimes peanuts.
- A deal on .de, business as usual on .nl — or the other way round.
- Out of stock in one country while another store still ships.
So: when you see a deal price on amazon.nl, first paste the link or ASIN into bezprice and look at what .de / .it / .fr / .es / .se show at that moment. Our prices are at most about 24 hours old and carry a timestamp; stale means fetched again, not invented history.
After that — and people skip this — open the cheapest candidate on Amazon itself and check:
- Exactly the same version (ASIN / specifications)
- Seller (Amazon or third party)
- Shipping cost to your address
- Estimated delivery time
- Return rules if it goes wrong (returns to a foreign store)
A “winner” on item price that charges €12 shipping or takes three weeks is not a winner.
